Writing: Some people are writing on independent work and some are working in small groups.
Parodies: Some people are working on changing the lyrics to a song to make it fun or change the topic.
New computers: The new computers are good for searching things online and having an agenda or a place to work on papers and sharing it to people and still working on it. (We are also doing a lot with google classroom)
Read aloud: Freak the mighty is a book about Freak or Kevin who by his description he has a birth defect and the main character Max is rumored to be related to Killer Kane or rumored Father.
Critical thinking and Genders stereotypes: We are starting the year talking about gender stereotypes and how girls are mostly about pink and playing with dolls and boys play with superheros, but we are learning to question that.
